The Core Team of the Band of Sisters
Linda has enjoyed being a part of the Band of Sisters since 2015 when she first had the kernel of the idea for the Band. After retiring from the Diocese of Raleigh, she felt called to further her own spirituality. This led to becoming more involved with friends that were on the same path (Band of Sisters).
Trained and certified as a Spiritual Director, Linda has a Masters Degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University. She is a certified Master Catechist in the Diocese of Raleigh. She coordinates her parish's involvement with Note in the Pocket - a local organization that clothes impoverished school-age children in Wake County.
Linda has been married to her husband, Paul, for forty-five years. They have one daughter and three grandchildren.
Delighted to be part of Band of Sisters core team, Christine offers her gifts as a retreat leader and her experience as a parish minister in lifelong faith formation in the planning and presentation of Band of Sisters events.

Cindy has been in the Diocese of Raleigh since 1968. She has served as both a volunteer and an employee over those many years. Prior to her 2013 retirement, Cindy was serving at Sacred Heart Cathedral where she worked for twelve years as the Director of Liturgy. During the last two of those years, she served as both Director of Worship and Director of Music. Her deep love of liturgy and music continues to shape her days with the Band of Sisters. She also works part time - providing music and direction at Mother Teresa Mission in Cary and The Episcopal Church of the Advocate in Chapel Hill.
Cindy received her Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her degree in Canon Law with an emphasis in Liturgy from St. Paul University, Ottowa, ON, Canada.
She is the youngest of eight and a mother of three adult children. Married to Kevin for thirty-six years, she is happy to call Raleigh home - where she time-shares her son's dog, Atlas...who regularly amazes her.
Ann O'Hara is a part of the "prayer team" for the Band of Sisters. Along with Cindy FitzGerald and Christine Miesowicz, she helps to gather everyone into sacred space, remembering that everything we do is with God and in God.

She is proud and honored to have served with the Band of Sisters since its inception in 2015, and looks forward to many opportunities to spread the Good News and share the faith with the many faith filled people who have embraced the Band of Sisters.

She was also a core member (22 years ago) that organized the Single/Single Again group for individuals struggling with various issues of loss and the group established a monthly Single/Single Again Mass which is still active today.

Mary has lived in Raleigh since 1984. Having joined the St. Francis Catholic Community, she became involved in Youth Ministry and a host of other parish groups.
Upon Pastor David McBriar’s advice, Mary sought a Volunteer Management Certificate from Duke’s continuing education program while working full- time at St Francis. Her remaining tenure at St. Francis encompassed Ministry and Stewardship Development.
